Weekend Update
Well, I’m back, and surprisingly in one piece! Technically I had two holidays in the past few days so I am doubly tired.
I hope everyone had a good Thanksgiving. Mine was fun and felt more like a vacation than a day that might end in tears or yelling (or both if you’re lucky). But that might have something to do with the sunshine and the birthday and the beach and the carnival. You didn’t think I was just eating turkey all this time, did you?

25 looks a lot like 24.
That’s right. ADULT WATER BUMPER BOATS.
The family and I watched Fantastic Mr. Fox which was indeed quite fantastic. I love everything Mr. Anderson does and this movie did NOT disappoint. In fact, when Ben and I saw the first run of the trailer and they did not mention it was a Wes Anderson film I leaned over to Ben and said, “This is what Wes Anderson would do if he did cartoons.” I think this 1) shows just how true to style Anderson is and 2) just how awesome I am.
I need to download the soundtrack, stat!
I also hopped in my Delorean and drove back to 1989 to snap this picture for you to enjoy:
What Thanksgiving dinner would be complete without CONSTRUCTION PAPER PILGRIM ACCESSORIES?
Actually I have my dad to thank for this scanned photo because he posted it on Facebook. Yes, FACEBOOK. Which HE HAS RECENTLY JOINED. It’s all sorts of scary-awesome.
And I promise I didn’t forget about my Stache on a Stick contest, though I am very very late with announcing the winner. So without any further ado, the winner is Lisa of Knit, Teach, Ride! And for being such patient little squash blossoms, I will be contacting each of you to receive your very own stache. They are great for parties, Christmas cards, and oh yeah…weddings.
Lips, staches, and a beard that rivals Ben’s by ME!
