My lovely lady love, Hillary, introduced me to my recent girlcrush Jennine over at The Coveted. She’s blogged about fun things you could do with Goodwill sweaters and last night I tried out the DIY knit cowl (because ya’ll know I only like to knit in a straight line).

Of course I forget to take a “before” picture of the oversized sweater I scored for three dollars,so imagine this in green:

And because I’m more confident when I handstitch, I just took some mustard colored yarn and sewed up the block of fabric I cut from the front of the sweater (making sure I cut along the seams to avoid unraveling).

And in just one episode of “Jon and Kate Plus 8,” voila! A new cowl-hoodie-thing.

This would be a super easy and inexpensive last-minute gift for those fashionable friends of yours! Which is my way of saying this is what you’re getting from me this year.
