Gifts Galore

If I were Oprah, today would be my gift-giving post. Gifts for everyone! Okay, well maybe only a few people received gifts today, but isn’t a new post gift enough?

I received a package in the mail today from Perpetual Kid, one of my favorite sites for creative gifts. And true to their name, I squealed with glee with I opened the box to find this:

Monster finger puppet! Better than any CrackerJack prize I’ve ever wrapped my sticky fingers around.

Anyway, the real gift I’ve been waiting for is the Sun Jar. Ben and I are heading to Orlando next week to have spring break fun with his awesome younger brothers and to also celebrate his mom’s birthday (who is equally awesome). I’m not sure what the protocol is for gift-giving when it comes to boyfriends’ mothers, but I knew I wasn’t going to step foot into a Talbot’s. And Ben’s mom deserves something funky, anyway.

So I’ve been eyeing the Sun Jar since Christmas because it’s too sweet to not give to someone and I found this to be a great opportunity. And so much better than tassled loafers. Just sit the frosted Mason Jar in the sun and the solar cell inside will act as a awesome light source throughout the night! Nifty.

I also followed my own advice and went over to Threadless for their T-shirt sale. It was there that I found the perfect shirt for my friend Colin who bikes like a madman (and who you should totally support in his race for MS by clicking here). Nothing makes me happier than finding things that scream a friend’s name, and this one definitely fit the bill.

Threadless is having an even BIGGER sale right now with T-shirts starting at only $5. This one is my favorite:
