Okay, besides the horrible loss of a beloved article of clothing (RIP evening springtime trench), I did have a pretty good weekend. Let’s see, shall we?

The weather took a turn for the worst and instead of dedicating half of my weekend to the poolside, I bundled up for errands with le boyfriend. We loaded up on weird goodies from World Market because we’re snobby like that (more on my finds later this week), but one of my purchases made it into my lunch today.

Do not be mislead by its cute doggy logo. Do not be tempted to run your thumb on its raised glass print. And do not, for the love of God, buy this drink. A recent IM sums it up:

Megan: I brought “ginger beer” to go with [my bento lunch]
Megan: but it’s DISGUSTING.
Ben: how is it different from ginger ale?
Megan: One is delicious, one IS DISGUSTING.

The first sip made me cram a handful of Cheetos into my mouth to get rid of the taste (though I was planning to eat them that way, anyway). The second sip was to determine whether it was even reminiscent of ginger ale or not, thus resulting in more Cheeto consumption.

Lesson:
1. Ginger Beer is neither delicious nor beer.
2. Cheetos are amazing.

I also spent time with the family and met my mom and brother at the skate park on Sunday evening. My brother is at that awkward junior high school age where you begin going through music and fashion phases that you will regret years later and I will be sure to show examples of to future girlfriends. Anyway, he’s eleven and fancies himself a cool sk8tr doOd, which I think is adorable (which would NOT fly if he knew this). I brought the camera out and wrestled with it the entire time I was there, but got a good shot of the only scene thing I own.

And in somewhat worthy news, the Addy awards were this weekend for our district and my office swept the show! Everybody come and see how good we look by clicking here (note: I do not eat Cobb Salad).

And speaking of looking good, I looked hot that night. Don’t mind the helmet I wore to the after after party.
